Moana surf school is locally owned by these two friendly faces Tysen and Dede. They have a passion for the ocean, for nature, and for enjoying the little things in life- like catching the perfect wave. You will often find this duo in the water so you are in good hands whether you’re looking to catch your first wave or you’re a seasoned surfer that would like to take your surfing to the next level. We are located in Uluwatu which is away from the hustle and bustle of the Kuta area and is a paradise all on its own. Our home is the heart of surfing in Bali. We would love to see you on the water!
Dede
Dede has been surfing in the Uluwatu area for 7 years. Originally from the neighboring island of Lombok. He is known at his local surf spot for being the most psyched and positive person in the water. Always offering advice to beginners and making sure everyone around him is having as much fun as he is. For Dede surf is all about community, connection, and of course, staying psyched.
Tysen
Tysen has been surfing in the Uluwatu area for 6 years. Originally from Tegallang, Bali. He fell in love with the ocean after his first paddle and never looked back. You can find him in the water long boarding without a leash, popping ollies and spinning around mid wave. For Ty surfing is all about having fun and being free, connecting with the water and sharing smiles.
