You’re an intermediate surfer! You’re not new to the sport, and you’ve either started riding a hard top board or are ready to make the switch. You’ve begun to turn, and are learning the art of reading waves, and maybe even beginning to catch waves on your own.
We are so excited to help you improve your skills! If our intermediate students want to join a group, our group lessons are mixed level with beginner and intermediate. We believe beginners and intermediate students can (for the most part) ride similar sized waves, but require different coaching and advice to make progress. Your coach will help you learn to turn, and catch waves on your own if you aren’t already. You are also welcome to book a semi private with a friend or partner who is at a similar or lower level than you. Or if you really want to make fast progress, and maybe try some bigger waves, we recommend a private lesson for individualized attention.
The foundations of our intermediate lessons are about improving your turns, learning to read waves, and catch waves on your own. We believe most surfers spend quite a bit of time at this level, as it takes dedication to advance further.
